Remote Occupational Therapy
Telehealth-based assessment services to enable your independence
About Remote Occupational Therapy
Remote Occupational Therapy is a telehealth-based service offering comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, to NDIS, Medicare and private paying clients of all ages. Telehealth services enable people to access health services wherever they live, regardless of their health condition. Our telehealth services are available to adults in all Australian states and territories, and for people aged 17 and under in WA, NT, VIC, NSW and TAS.

Remote Occupational Therapy offers the following assessment services:
-
Functional Capacity Assessments (through interviews, observations, standardised and non-standardised assessments) and other activity of daily living (ADL) based assessments. Functional capacity assessments are being recognised as best practice by NDIS to highlight a person's function and their support needs. Whether you are an NDIS participant, are applying for a plan or are accessing services privately, a functional capacity assessment may be appropriate for you.
-
Developmental assessments
-
Sensory assessments
-
Social/Emotional assessments
-
Adaptive Behaviour Assessment
-
Supported Independent Living (SIL) and other housing options assessments - As the therapist is not able to visit a participant's home or potential accommodation options, these assessments require more in-depth conversation and task analysis to identify support needs and make recommendations.

If you require an assessment that has not been listed, please email your enquiry to remote.ot@outlook.com and our therapist will determine whether our service is appropriate for you.

At Remote Occupational Therapy, our assessments comprise of telehealth assessment sessions via video chat or phone call to collect relevant information. Our reporting therapist will also collect information from external reports and other stakeholders (i.e., teachers) if appropriate. A report will then be written that includes recommendations for support and funding needs. The length of time this process takes will depend upon the complexity of your situation and the assessments required.
Remote Occupational Therapy does not currently offer therapeutic intervention, ongoing therapy sessions, or in person appointments.
